The Los Angeles design community prides itself on being the epicenter of all things wellness and sustainable, and when the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood held its Fall Market on Sept. 21, it hosted engaging events centered on these topics.

“I wanted to deliver a home that was move-in ready for a family, just bring your luggage!” explained the owner and creative vision behind the transformation of 834 South Tremaine in Brookside.

The owner is a local resident and an accomplished animation designer/producer who’d also renovated and sold eight homes over the years. About five or six years ago, he relocated to Brookside from Toronto where he’d been living and commuting to LA for work for years. The leafy neighborhood reminded him of his childhood neighborhood outside of London. An old house fan, he told the Buzz he took on the project when he saw it come on the market in 2020, excited by the opportunity to restore the house.

To that end, Pallrand, who has long specialized in green architecture, building and renovating homes to exceed sustainable building requirements, is opening a showroom of interior products to showcase their holistic approach to home design that seamlessly integrates beauty, comfort and environmental impacts.
