Nancy Ganucheau

Born in New Orleans, Nancy Ganucheau spent her early years in El Salvador and Panama where she observed venecular adaptations to energy efficiency first hand.

Passive heating and cooling, reliance on natural sources of light, were not lifestyle choices in rural central america where electricity was scarce or non-existant, but a fact of life. Nancy's interest in energy efficient design led her to look for examples beyond the venecular of Spanish Revival Archtecture to Islamic design as well.  She moved back to the US to pursue her interest in design and received a Master of Architecture from Rice University.  Nancy ran her own firm in Houston for 10 years before moving to Los Angeles in 2008 to become the Home Front's lead designer.
