We are experienced artists and artisans, true experts in the art of painting. We can recreate everything from historic paint finishes to faux marble, faux bois, decorative finishes and murals.  We are also experts in staining and finishing.  We custom mix our own stains, tinted varnishes, shellacs and traditional oil paints in the old manner.

Bernard Brunon, Home Front's Head of Painting and Finishing, was born in France where he received training in the traditional decorative faux and finishing techniques as well as art history and art theory from the Universite Lumiere in Lyon and the Ecole d'Art in Marseilles.  His goal is to combine his skill as a traditional craftsman with his intellectual training to explore whether “house painting” is just craft or art and where the boundaries of representation lie.
